Churchpage Site Editing Handbook
Your web site is designed to be quick and easy to add and update content. If you are looking at your new site it looks pretty empty. It needs your text and pictures to personalize it so it becomes an effective tool to share your church's message. Use the links on the right in the table of contents to learn how to edit your web site. If you are new to editing your church's site let me suggest you begin at the top and work your way down through each section. Most of the steps include a thumbnail that shows something similar to what your screen will look like as you follow the step.
Login
To edit your web site you must first login. Follow the steps below. Video Tutorial- Go to your web site's home page (i.e. www.intro.churchpage.us)

- Add "/admin" to the address

- Press enter to go to the "Login" screen. It will look something like this.

- Enter your Username and Password. Click on the "Login" button.

- Your screen will now show that your are logged in.

- When you are finished editing your page, return to the admin page and click on the "Logout" button.


Edit Text
One of the functions you will be doing frequently is adding or updating text on your web site. Follow the steps below to accomplish this.
- Be sure you have logged in to your site
- Go to the web page you want to edit (i.e. about page)
- Click on the edit icon It usually looks like a piece of paper with a pen or pencil on it.

- An editor will pop up where you can add or update your text. It works much like wordpad or a simple word processor to format your text. Later on we will show you some advanced uses for the text editor, including adding images and other media. For now use it like any word processor to change the size and format of your text.

Upload Pictures
Here is the part you've been waiting for! Adding pictures to your site. One of the things that personalizes your church website is the pictures that you place on the different pages. With an online editor inserting an image takes two steps. You must first upload a picture. Then you can insert it where you would like. Follow along as I show you what is involved in both steps. Uploading your pictures
- Be sure you are logged in to your web site
- Go to the page you want to add the pictures to.
- Click on the edit icon.
- When the editor opens up, click on the place where you want to place a picture.

- Click on the Insert / Edit Image button.

- Create a new folder for your pictures if needed. Select the desired folder. Click on the "Upload" button.

- Click on the "Add" button. Browse for your picture on your computer and click on "open". Repeat this for as many pictures as you need to upload.

- Press the "Upload" button.

- Check to be sure all images uploaded correctly (Green Checkmark) and press "Cancel" to return to Image Manager.

- You did it. Your images are now uploaded and ready to be inserted.

Inserting a picture
Now that your pictures are uploaded you can insert them into your text. If you are continuing from the steps to upload pictures then you can skip the next steps 1-5. Video Tutorial
- Be sure you are logged in to your web site
- Go to the page you want to add the pictures to.
- Click on the edit icon.
- When the editor opens up, click on the place where you want to place a picture.

- Click on the Insert / Edit Image button.

- Select the desired folder and click on the image you wish to insert.
- Select your desired image alignment (i.e. left or right)
- Select the desired folder and click on the image you wish to insert. Select your desired image alignment (i.e. left or right). Click on "Insert" button.

- Click on "Save" in the image editor.

- You did it!

Photo Gallery
This section demonstrates how to add photos to your site gallery.
- Tip: You should resize your photos before uploading them (i.e. 800x600 pixels)
- Login to your web site.
- Go to the Photo Gallery Page on your site.

- Scroll to othe bottom of the page.
- Follow the steps below.

- Do this for each photo you want to upload.
